How to Make 2 Ingredient Peanut Butter Fudge

Don’t have a candy thermometer? no worries! The best part about this easy fudge recipe is you won’t need any fancy candy-making equipment.

Here’s what you’ll do (scroll down to the recipe card for amounts and full instructions):

  1. Line a square baking pan with parchment paper or wax paper (I don’t recommend using aluminum foil). I like to trace the edges of the pan with a pencil and cut it out so it fits in perfectly.
  2. Scoop the creamy peanut butter into a microwave-safe bowl. Be sure to use a spatula to scrape out all the edges!
  3. Pop the pb in the microwave until it’s melted
  4. Stir in the frosting
  5. Spread the fudge mixture into your prepared pan
  6. Cool in the fridge for at least an hour or two until it’s fully set.

To serve, lift the fudge out of the pan using the overhanging parchment or wax paper. Set it on a cutting board and use a sharp knife to cut it into squares.

How to Store Peanut Butter Fudge

Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 weeks. You can leave it at room temperature for a while, but it will soften a bit and should be stored in the fridge.

What Kind of Peanut Butter Is Best for Fudge?

Feel free to use your favorite peanut butter, as long as it is a regular variety. I do not recommend using natural peanut butter because it will adversely affect the texture and the fudge won’t set as well.

If you can’t tolerate peanuts, you can try using another nut or seed spread. Just be sure that it is smooth and doesn’t separate. It will taste best if it has a little added sugar like regular peanut butter does.

Here are a few kinds you can try:

  • sunflower seed butter (I recommend SunButter brand)
  • cashew butter
  • almond butter (I recommend Barney Butter brand)
