Which recipes did you try last year?
I love looking at my analytics to see what y’all are baking and which recipes are your favorites, and this year had a few surprises as well as some tried-and-true recipes that have been on the top 10 list for years.
So without further ado, here are the top 12 reader favorites from Life After Wheat from 2021.

2021 Reader Favorites
Gluten Free Biscuits (dairy free option)
17% of you visited this post last year, and for good reason! One reader put it this way: "These biscuits are some kind of voodoo magic."
Gluten Free Rolls (dairy free option)
Deliciously fluffy and surprisingly easy to make, these rolls were enjoyed by over 80,000 of you last year.
Gluten Free Biscuits and Gravy
Same popular biscuit recipe as above, but drowned in an easy-to-make sausage gravy that is also gluten free. Pure breakfast heaven.
Gluten Free Pie Crust
Tender and flaky, this pie crust is also easy to make and works with just about any kind of gluten free flour blend you have on hand.
Gluten Free Baking Powder Biscuits
This was my first biscuit recipe (we love biscuits at our house!), and it was a good one! Although I almost exclusively make the 4-ingredient biscuit recipe above, this one is also a great and yields a different, more hearty texture and is the basis for my Cheesy Green Chile Biscuits.
Homemade Alfredo Sauce
Fettuccine Alfredo is one of my family's favorite meals, so it makes me happy that a lot of you are also enjoying this recipe for a no-fuss alfredo sauce. I also clue you in on our family's favorite gluten free pasta in this post.
Gluten Free Sandwich Bread
The very first recipe I developed almost 10 years ago, this sandwich bread has been tweaked a few times and just keeps getting better. It is soft and holds together just like bread should and even my gluten-eating kids love it fresh out of the oven.
Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls
This think-outside-the-box recipe proves to be a winner every time! It is packed with flavor and is deliciously soft and fluffy.
Gluten Free Hamburger Buns
Save this one for summer time, because everyone deserves a hamburger bun that tastes good and holds together until the very last bite.
Flaxseed Muffins
This one is a personal fav that I make all the time. I love that these muffins are incredibly healthy, but I also love the soft texture and rich, sweet flavor! They freeze well, too.
Gluten Free Hot Dog Buns
Another summer fav! These buns are soft, fluffy, and don't fall apart. They're great for hot dogs, hoagies, French dip, or any other kind of sandwich.
Gluten Free Crescent Rolls (dairy free option)
Ah, another family fav. I use this dough in any recipe that calls for Pillsbury crescent rolls that come in a can and it always works perfectly! It also makes a tasty pizza crust 🙂
