What better way to ring in the New Year than with a GIVEAWAY?
First off, I’m a huge fan of an app called Find Me GF. You enter your location and the app displays a list of all the locations nearby which have gluten free options, along with user reviews (Ever wonder where you can eat without getting sick afterward ?). It has made eating out SO much more convenient! It’s also free, so if you haven’t yet downloaded it, be sure to do so.Also by the same company is a service called Send Me Gluten Free. It’s a monthly subscription service which gives you a box of random gluten free goods for $30 a month. There are also discounts if you sign up for multiple months, the greatest of which is an annual subscription for $240 (boils down to $20 per month). Click here to check out their website for all the info.
Send Me Gluten Free provided me with a box to try and review, and I have to say it was fun getting a box full of new gluten free foods to try. The kids dug right in with the cookies and granola, and the Hubby and I devoured the Simply7 Quinoa Chips. I have yet to see these on the shelves at any of our local stores, so I still wouldn’t know about them if we hadn’t gotten this box from SMGF.
- Trying gluten free products without having to buy an entire (usually expensive) package.
- Being able to try products that might not normally be available in your area. You can then request them at your local stores and have a wider selection of gluten free foods available.
- It’s a great easy gift idea.
On the flipside:
- The contents are completely random, so if you have multiple food allergies, you may not be able to eat a number of things in the box. Quite a few of the samples we received contained oats or soy, both of which the Hubs can’t have. It states on their Q&A page that they have plans to offer different options in the future.
